Cette chanson est devenue chant traditionnel russe.Maria MorozovaUvarova - 1924-2017, ancienne soliste du Chœur de Voronej revendique néanmoins ces paroles inspirées par un fond plus ancien. En duo avec son mari, elle enregistra cette version en décembre 1954 ; version gravée sur disque en 1956.
